See the world with Silhouette

See the world with Silhouette

We’ve spent a large part of this year inside, looking out. And just like a window frames our view of the outside, glasses are our personal windows to the world. Discover how Silhouette glasses might help you see the world a little differently…

Seeing beauty in the little things

When you can’t travel and discover new sights, you must find fulfilment closer to home: in your everyday routine or in exploring every path of your local park. Savoring these familiar sights and rituals helps ground you in the now. Whether it’s the curl of steam from your first coffee of the day or leaves slowly turning gold for fall, noticing the little things stops you living on autopilot.

A pair of Silhouette frames helps you to see the world as it is, freely, with no boundaries, and invites you to find beauty wherever you look, even if it’s in your own back yard.

Seeing the world more minimally

A minimalist philosophy helps you find more in less. And in the same way that minimal designs work effortlessly with their surroundings, Silhouette’s pared-back frames sit so lightly on your face, there’s no barrier to distract you from the world beyond.

“Our timeless designs are boiled down to the essentials,” explains Silhouette’s Head of Design, Roland Keplinger. “Silhouette’s Titan Minimal Art range, for example, has barely changed over the years, always staying true to its core design philosophy. This is because minimalism is never out of style – minimalism has its own value.”

Seeing the shape of nature

Nature is a constant source of beauty and wonder, and although it’s wild, it’s also graceful. Think of the curve of cresting wave or the smooth slope of a distant mountain. Natural lines often inspire great architects who reflect them in cityscapes – dreaming up sleek skyscrapers that grow like forests, crafting man-made materials to look light, airy, and natural.

Similarly inspired, Silhouette uses cutting-edge materials to craft designs that reflect lightness in every detail. “It’s essential for designers to know the newest materials and technology to achieve true master craftsmanship,” explains Roland. “It’s the details that make the design. We fight for each tenth of a millimeter when it comes to shapes, lines, and color.”

Seeing style over substance

Fashion trends come and go with the seasons, but the night sky, the sea, or a beautiful rolling landscape remains constant in an ever-changing world.

Silhouette enjoys the fleeting flourishes of fashion, but the focus always remains on beautiful, lasting, and sustainable style.

“Fashion trends are in a constant repetition,” says Roland. “In the past few years, all of the decades have been revisited. Fashion for us is a source of inspiration, but we consider very carefully what we use. I like the quote by Yves Saint Laurent who said, ‘Fashion fades, style stays’. This is exactly the mindset we have here at Silhouette.”

When the world opens up once more, you may find yourself donning your Silhouette frames, stepping outside, and seeing the world in an entirely new way.
